Harkers Island RV Resort is a peaceful, waterfront campground community tucked away on North Carolina’s Crystal Coast, offering a relaxed coastal escape with beautiful waterfront views and easy access to Core Sound. Known for its clean, well-maintained grounds and friendly, family-oriented atmosphere, the resort features spacious RV sites—many with water views—along with amenities like a pool, marina, boat ramp, fishing pier, and a private sandy beach.
Guests can enjoy boating, fishing, kayaking, or simply soaking in the quiet Down East charm that makes Harkers Island such a unique destination. It’s an ideal spot for both short stays and long-term coastal living, blending laid-back island vibes with convenient access to nearby beaches and outdoor adventures.

About the Owners
We are Down East natives and lovers of Core Banks. We purchased the property for Harkers Island RV Resort in 2016, and the rest has been history. At the time, we owned and operated Chadwick Tire Co. and had two children in elementary and middle school, so we decided that for our family, a year-round park would work best. We have been able to support Down East businesses and offer the opportunity for people to come and have an island getaway and enjoy the beauty of Down East for a very reasonable rate.
As time has gone on, we got the opportunity in 2021 to purchase the Morris Marina property in Atlantic, and after 30 years in the tire business, we decided we wanted a change of scenery. We also wanted to keep access to North Core Banks ("the banks," as we call it) and thought it would be a great collaboration.
So today we are running a traditional campground at Atlantic RV Resort and operate a sea to table restaurant Wild Will’s Revenge inside of the resort. Business brings jobs, and we have always wanted to provide jobs and services, whether in Atlantic or Otway or Harkers Island.
